Kyle Nameth

Medical Student

Kyle Nameth is a medical student at the Norton College of Medicine at Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York. He graduated from Northeastern University in 2020 with a degree in public health, where his coursework and research experiences fostered an interest in the multifactorial influences on health.

Currently, in the Medical Biodynamics Center, Kyle is investigating objective sleep measures and their influence on the development of delirium during hospitalization. He has presented his research at the annual SLEEP conference and Upstate Student Research Day. At the SLEEP 2024 conference, Kyle received the Trainee Investigator Award from the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, recognizing his outstanding research abstract.

Beyond academics, Kyle is an active volunteer runner with Ainsley’s Angels, pairing with individuals with disabilities to participate in local races. He also mentors children through the Refugee and Immigrant Self-Empowerment Afterschool Program in East Syracuse. In his personal time, Kyle enjoys training for endurance events and has completed several marathons and a 70.3 half Ironman.
